A field visit to the Spinning Mill in Kayamkulam was organized for 78 participants to gain practical knowledge about the textile production process and the functioning of a spinning mill.

 

Introduction to the Mill: The participants were welcomed by the management and given an overview of the mill’s operations, including its role in the textile industry.

 

Production Process: Demonstration of fiber preparation, spinning, and yarn production.

Explanation of machinery used in different stages, including carding, combing, and spinning.

 

Quality Control: Insights into the quality control measures implemented to ensure high standards of production.

 

Workforce and Sustainability: The group learned about the workforce management and the mill’s efforts to incorporate sustainable practices in its operations.
